I'm a bit of a slacker, and have not added anything to this blog in some time. Life has been busy...it's crazy. It's like those retired people who say they are busier retried than when they were working. I am busier on mat leave than I was before...and I love it! A lot has happened in the last few weeks...I turned 30 and was thrown a delicious surprise party. Cameron turned 31 and had a wicked dinner hosted by moi, and we went to Costa Rica for 2 weeks. Travelling with a 9 month old is a little different. K travelled very well, and seemed to make friends on every flight. She loved Costa Rica so much that she decided not to sleep there. She went to sleep every nite around 10 or 11 and would wake up between 4 and 5 every morning. She only napped a few hours a day...it was crazy! It's strange the things you get used to while you are away. It became habit to check her crib each time for scorpions or other bugs. Every nite i would kill at least 4 centipedes crawling across the floor. I would sleep with the air conditioner remote control by my bed so I could adjust the temperature in the middle of the nite, and I go into the habit of using bottled water to brush my teeth. Costa Rica is beautiful with the most friendly people I have ever meet. I really was the only one not looking forward to going and I think I was the only one on the trip who wanted to stay. We met amazing people and have unusual and great adventures! Here are a few photos (mostly of K) of our journey!
